Why this industry is different

End-of-line robotics looks simple on a slide and gets hard on the floor. A palletizing cell has to build stable loads from whatever the line sends it — mixed cases, changing pack patterns, layer sheets and slip sheets — and the pattern-generation logic that decides where each case lands is as much the deliverable as the robot itself. The wrong EOAT choice — vacuum where a clamp was needed — shows up as dropped cases and crushed corners at full speed.

The second trap is rate. A packaging robot never sees a steady stream: upstream fillers and cartoners surge and starve, and the cell has to absorb that with buffering, infeed tracking and conveyor handshakes or it becomes the bottleneck of the entire line. Rate ranges by region

Indicative blended hourly-rate ranges by region, aligned with our live /rates benchmarks. Development work sits toward the middle of each range; on-site commissioning carries a premium. Platform escrow fee is 15% (5% for founding customers).
